The first word that comes to mind is AMAZING!!! Melinda is a wonderful baker, who is very professional and knows her stuff. I really enjoyed working with her on ideas for my ultimate wedding cake and she is very flexible. I will tell you this, it is by far the best cake we have ever had. Your guest will be raving about it forever. We had 2 flavors: Chocolate eclair and Chocolate-Chocolate mousse with a thin layer of fresh raspberry sauce. Divine! Trust me, if you go with "Just Desserts" you will be very happy. Honestly, my wedding cake was one of the top 3 highlights from my wedding! Just an FYI, I did a lot of shopping around and comparing prices and she is average or cheaper then most of the bakery's down in he OBX.

Our cake was amazing. Would love to leave a testimonial on your webpage, just need to know how. will email pics of the cake if you would like, our photographer got some GREAT shots of it..they would be perfect for you to put in your book. I was a little worried with the white callas on an ivory cake, but it was gorgeous. The keylime was a big hit with everyone and you were given several "shout outs!"
Thanks again...I feel like I made a friend and not just hired a pastry chef!

Wow....wow....wow. thanks Melinda for a wonderful cake that was delicious. We were all so surprised at its beauty and matching taste.....you truly are talented and thank you for sharing with us. Your husband was such a dear to deliver, I enjoyed meeting him.

I just had to write you a quick note to thank you so much for the amazing work you did on our wedding cake! It looked absolutely amazing, and even better. The chocolate raspberry was mind blowing, and the eclair was a huge hit. I was a little worried that the cake would look dull or silly with our lighthouse cake topper, but you made it so cute! I couldn't have imagined a more perfect cake for us. When word spread through my family that we had some cake left over, they all showed up with forks in hand. :) It didn't last a full 48 hours (except for the slices we froze for our anniversary, of course). I'm actually kond of sad i have to wait a whole year to taste that wonderful cake again. We got so many compliments on your work, and you were so incredibly wonderful. You really made us feel special, and i can see why you're so highly recommended! Our wedding day was fantastic, and it wouldn't have been nearly as great without your work. Our boys are STILL raving about your cake, and we were married June 23rd! So, thank you so much for your beautiful work and your kind words. We appreciated everything, and if we ever need another cake while we're in the Outer Banks, we'll definitely be giving you a call. Our family wishes you nothing but the best.

The grooms cake was awesome!!! It looked exactly how we wanted it to look and better. It was also so awesomely delicious. Everyone raved over it. I can't thank you enough for all the time and effort you put in to it to make it so perfect. We (the bride and I) could not have been anymore pleased and it helped to make the rehersal dinner a huge success. Thank you.
